The “Request Number” must be referenced in the request and the payment must be attached in the form of a Visa or Master Card (number and expiration date must be included).


Ordering a File on Diskette or CD-Rom

BOEMRE Data on Diskette or CD attributes:

CD-Rom
ASCII fixed format (no space between fields)
Files will be compressed (WINZIP needed for extraction)
Record layout and dictionaries will accompany all files.

Requested data files can be transferred via the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement internet FTP site.

Some ASCII files and PDF files are available free on the Internet and are identified (*) individually in the Public Information Catalog.  Internet files are updated on a monthly basis.  To download the ASCII Summary File Layout, click on the file name.  The files are located on the BOEMRE website at: http://www.gomr.boemre.gov/homepg/pubinfo/pdfindex.html and http://www.gomr.boemre.gov/homepg/pubinfo/freeasci/freedesc.html.

Please note:  North American 1927 Datum is used by the Gulf of Mexico OCS Region in computations of all geographic coordinates.
