Notices, Letters, and Information to Lessees and Operators

Your comments are important. The Small Business and Agriculture Regulatory Enforcement Ombudsman and 10 Regional Fairness Boards were established to receive comments from small businesses about federal agency enforcement actions.  The Ombudsman will annually evaluate the enforcement activities and rate each agency's responsiveness to small business.  If you wish to comment on the enforcement actions of BOEMRE call 1-888-REG-FAIR (1-888-734-3247).

Notices to Lessees and Operators (NTL's) are formal documents that provide clarification, description, or interpretation of a regulation or OCS standard; provide guidelines on the implementation of a special lease stipulation or regional requirement; provide a better understanding of the scope and meaning of a regulation by explaining BOEMRE interpretation of a requirement; or transmit administrative information such as current telephone listings and a change in BOEMRE personnel or office address.  Letters to Lessees and Operators (LTL's) and Information to Lessees and Operators (ITL's) are also formal documents that provide additional information and clarification, or interpretation of a regulation, OCS standard, or regional requirement, or provide a better understanding of the scope and meaning of a regulation by explaining BOEMRE interpretation of a requirement.
